Founded in 1984, Jasztex Fibers inc. is a leading progressive manufacturer of high-loft, densified, thermo-bonded and needle-punch nonwovens in Canada.
In addition, Jasztex is a major recycler and processor of non-woven fibers and textiles. The company always develops new uses and related processes necessary to reduce waste promote circular economy.
Jasztex’s nonwoven products are sold throughout the bedding, furniture, filtration, acoustic and thermal insulation, transportation and medical markets.

History
1984-87
To begin, Jasztex started its business in Quebec. The company acquired its first equipment for recycling and conversion of textiles waste into fibrous materials.
1991-1994
Second, a new facility was opened (60,000 sq.ft.). Starting the beginning of producing thermobonded polyester nonwovens for use in filtration systems, apparel linings, furniture and bedding manufacturing. Jasztex’s products have become the alternative to technologies using hazardous environmentally unsafe chemicals. Research and development proved successful and pilot lines were converted into full production lines.
1995- 2002
Moreover, a new plant was purchased in Pointe Claire. The company expended its recycling and production department. Additional needlepunch capacity was achieved by the modernization of existing lines and the addition of one new line that will be operational in early 2002.
2004-2010
New regulations in the US mattress market called for the development of a nonwoven fire retardant barrier. Next, the company develop and manufactures new products to meet those demands such breathable adults and baby mattress that are chemical-free period. Jasztex chemical-free and recycled fibrous cores have become the best option for baby and regular mattress’s manufacturers by proving themselves better then polyurethane foam.
2011-2021
As a result, Jasztex continue to modernizes its equipment’s and products range including “Green” filter medias. Jasztex designed and built another advanced production line to improve its cost and energy consumption and maintain its solid position in the market. The company is now experienced and well in control of airlay, carding and needling technologies.
Jasztex opens a facility in Toronto and creates Multifibers which is today a specialist of needlepunch and thermobonded nonwoven fibers.
2021 …
Finally, Jasztex continuous improving its processes and knowledge in order to serve a wider market, products (high-loft, densified, thermo-bonded and needle-punch nonwovens) and territory. The company plans to innovate its human resource department in order to assure competency, creativity of its employees and therefore offer its customers competitive prices, service and quality.
